Habits for Happiness

Happiness is the most important thing in this life! I think there are a couple of things that we can do to ensure that, in each day we are on this earth, we feel happy.

I think surrounding ourselves with happy people is something very important. They say that you are who you surround yourself with – if you spend a lot of time with negative people who too will eventually becoming negative. Get out there and find happy people- now of course everyone will have their days when they feel down! But as a whole if they’re positive people overall, you too will be positive.

Grow a strong skin. Happiness is the lack of depression. Feeling low and allowing things to make you feel worse is incredibly counter-productive. Allow things to pass over you, take certain things with a pinch of salt and don’t allow everything to get to you. Decide who you are yourself and don’t let anyone change that.

Don’t sit and wallow. TRY to be happy, even fake it until you make it. Happiness won’t come to you wrapped up with a bow stuck on it. You have to work to happiness. Focus on the positive side of life, look for the good things in bad times and try and stick with a mind set of ‘life happens and so everything happens for a reason’.

Learn to appreciate the simple pleasures of life, and aim to help others as much as you can!

At the end of the day, life without happiness isn’t. It just isn’t. Enjoy your every last moment and don’t be afraid to reach out for help if something isn’t right! Asking for help is so so so advantageous!
